Akila Dada, MSc, BEd, CCLS, is a certified teacher and Child Life Specialist currently working in the cardiology unit at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada. She holds a Master’s degree in Pediatric Psychosocial Care and Child Life. In her role, Akila supports children and families by helping them cope with hospitalization through preparation, education, play, and emotional support. Her clinical and research interests focus on creating diverse, developmentally appropriate resources that empower children and families throughout their healthcare journeys.
