Biography
Dr. Ashwin Rammohan brings over a decade of surgical expertise in Hepatobiliary (HPB) Surgery, Liver Transplantation, and Gastrointestinal Surgery. With over 250 peer-reviewed publications, 15 book chapters, and two patents to his credit, Dr. Rammohan is internationally recognized for his academic contributions. A graduate of Madras Medical College, he completed his specialization in Surgical Gastroenterology and HPB Surgery at Stanley Medical College, where he was awarded the National Gold Medal in General Surgery by the National Board of Examinations, India. He further pursued higher surgical training in the UK and earned his FRCS from Cambridge University-associated hospitals. In addition, he holds a University Diploma in Advanced Upper GI Minimal Access Surgery from L’Université de Strasbourg, France. He serves as an invited reviewer, associate editor, and committee member for leading global liver transplant societies including ILTS and iLDLTG. He is also listed in the Guinness Book of Records under the GlobalSurg initiative. Dr. Rammohan is a Fellow and International Surgical Advisor at the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, UK, where he also contributes as a clinical educator.
