Dr Devprakash Choudhary, MS, M.Ch, is India’s first surgeon to earn an M.Ch in Organ Transplantation. He practices in the Department of Renal Transplant Surgery at PGIMER Chandigarh, one of the country’s leading centers for kidney and pancreas transplantation. An alumnus of AIIMS New Delhi (MS) and PGIMER (M.Ch), he also serves as an IPTA Multi-Organ Transplant Fellow.
Dr Choudhary’s research focuses on expanding the donor pool and enhancing graft outcomes through innovative strategies. A recipient of multiple international awards, he is a reviewer for several leading journals and an active member of TTS, ASTS, ESOT, IPTA, and IPITA.
Outside the operating room, he is an avid reader, long-distance runner, yoga practitioner, and boxing enthusiast.
