A joke a day keeps the stress away :)

Julia Raecke is a psychologist (M.Sc., University of Bonn, main fields clinical psychology and social psychology) and current PhD candidate passionate about strengthening resilience in emotional challenging jobs and educational settings. She currently works as a researcher at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). Her work investigates how social and emotional competencies—especially humor—can support healthcare professionals in managing stress and emotional strain in their daily work. In her research, Julia explores how humor isn’t just a “nice-to-have,” but a real, practical tool for coping with stress and building connections and in turn, foster well-being and teamwork. Her goal: to bring insights from psychology into everyday practice in a way that’s relatable, useful, and maybe even a little fun. Her evidence-informed presentation is designed for professionals who face emotional challenges in their work and are looking for human-centered approaches to self-care.
